How do I use the services?
It is dependant on what service you want to use.  Should you want to use the Online Testing Tools, you will need to become a member.  All other services do not require membership.  Becoming a member, will bring you future benefits!

Yes registration is free and only takes minutes!

What online testing products do you provide?
Aviac currently has two testing products and several more in the pipeline:

• aviac-aptitude tests: Numerical, Verbal, Spatial Awareness, Diagrammatical Reasoning batteries, we currently have over 1000 questions.

• aviac ATPL: these are online JAR ATPL Mock Tests, we currently have over 15000 JAR ATPL style questions.

We also welcome suggestions for other tests.

Are the questions different every time and are they under timed conditions?
Our testing software is designed to provide different questions in each test, but we cannot guarantee this as it may depend on how many tests you take.  We are continually increasing our question base and yes, most of our tests are under timed conditions.

Are these tests real aptitude tests?
Our tests are practice tests and have been designed professionally to simulate aptitude test batteries, typically those used by the airlines.  We cannot indicate what aptitude you possess for a particular role, however our aim is to provide practice and coaching so you are geared up for the real test.  For more information on aptitude please visit our aptitude page.

What are these JAR ATPL Mock tests?
We currently have a database of 15000 questions in aviac ATPL, our JAR ATPL Mock tests. These are to be used as preparatory practice material for JAR Air Transport Pilot licence. The questions are in the same format as those used by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Can I re-sit these tests and how long are they valid?
Yes, you can, as many times as you like. Our licences allow from 1 to 12 months unlimited* use.

Is there feedback available on the online tests?
Our online testing software provides immediate feedback. You can also track and measure your performance against target over every 30 days. The results are not an indication of your aptitude; it is only a mere realistic indication of your performance level and what needs to be done to achieve a successful result in the final test.  Remember practice makes perfect!

Am I required to have the internet connected to take the tests?
We are reviewing this.  At this moment, yes it is required that you keep connected to take the tests.

Are the tests available on CD-ROM?
This software is currently underdevelopment and will be available soon!

We have qualified Pilots and other recruitment and HR specialists.

What is Simulator Assessment Course?
The Simulator Assessment has been designed for the qualified pilot who may be waiting for an interview date, or for a CPL pilot  looking to refresh their skills and prepare for the future in a full motion jet simulator.  We are ultimately flexible to your needs and all instructors will tailor a session accordingly.  Please note that all simulator assessment courses will require valid security documentation.

Can anyone go for the Simulator Assessment?
No. After the disasters of September 11th the current terrorist climate, Aviac has to adopt a strict security policy for all Simulator courses. All applicants wishing to undertake this course shall have to provide suitable documents to ensure all stringent security measures have been satisfied.   See our Simulator Terms and Conditions.  Please refer to Simulator Assessment Course for the requirements.

What Simulators do you use for Simulator Assessment Courses?
We currently can offer the following types: B737, B757, B767, A320, B747, L1011, and the 727

Are the payment systems for purchase fully secure?
Aviac uses PayPal which is fully secure and regulated by the FSA.

Where does Aviac hold personal details of transactions?
We DO NOT hold any sensitive personal detail such as credit card and other banking details. These are all supplied via Paypal secure server.

So how do you deal with refunds?
Please note our refunds policy. We shall honour any transactions that qualify for a refund, however due to the nature of the services we offer; the first point of contact would be Aviac.

We can accept credit card payments and cheques*.
*Please note that we require 3 days minimum for the cheques to clear and also a minimum amount of purchase of over £15.00.  Please make all cheques payable to Aviac.com

If I pay by cheque, how will I receive my purchase?
Once the cheque has cleared or after 3 days; which ever is greater.
Tests: Aviac shall activate the tests on to your member account and notify you by email or phone.
Course Bookings and Materials: Shall be dealt with in the same manner.
Payment by Cheques.

 * In order to reduce the server load we are limiting taking the same test to every 15 minutes.
